How Alberta's market works

  • AGLC (Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis) regulates iGaming and registers operators and suppliers.
  • AiGC (Alberta iGaming Corporation) signs commercial agreements with operators and handles anti-money laundering, financials and reporting.
  • Play Alberta is the government's own online casino and sportsbook.

AGLC runs a centralised self-exclusion program: players can exclude from all registered iGaming platforms, from land-based casinos and racing entertainment centres, or from both.
