Accumulator calculator
An accumulator (acca) is one bet on several selections. Every selection must win for it to pay, and the odds multiply, so small prices add up to a big combined price.

What is in a Accumulator
One bet on 2 to 20 selections. Every selection has to win (or place, for the place part of an each way accumulator).
Accas are popular on football weekends. The odds multiply, and so does the risk: if each of five selections wins half the time, all five land together about one time in 32. Void legs drop out and the bet carries on with the rest.
How the return is worked out
Each line is settled on its own: the line stake times the decimal odds of every selection in it, multiplied together. A losing selection makes every line it is in return nothing. A void selection counts as odds of 1.0. For each way bets the place part uses place odds: (decimal odds − 1) × place fraction + 1.
line return = stake × odds₁ × odds₂ × … and total return = sum of all line returns
Worked example
£1 a line: A at evs (won), B at 4/5 (won), C at 6/4 (won), D at 11/10 (won). Total stake £1.00.
| Line that pays | Part | Returns |
|---|---|---|
| A + B + C + D | Win | £18.90 |
| Total return | £18.90 | |
| Profit | £17.90 |
Not included: rule 4 deductions, dead heats, each way extra places and bookmaker bonuses (for example double odds on a single winner). Your bookmaker's settlement is final.
Questions
How are accumulator odds calculated?
Multiply the decimal odds of every selection. Four selections at 2.0 give 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 = 16.0, so £5 returns £80.
What happens if one leg of my acca is void?
It counts as odds of 1.0, so the acca becomes one fold smaller and is settled on the remaining selections.
How does an each way accumulator work?
It is two accas: a win acca that needs every selection to win, and a place acca that needs every selection to place, each at its own stake.
