A treble pays more than three singles when everything wins, and nothing when one loses. For cover on fewer winners, compare a Trixie or Patent on the same three selections.

How the return is worked out

Each line is settled on its own: the line stake times the decimal odds of every selection in it, multiplied together. A losing selection makes every line it is in return nothing. A void selection counts as odds of 1.0. For each way bets the place part uses place odds: (decimal odds − 1) × place fraction + 1.

line return = stake × odds₁ × odds₂ × … and total return = sum of all line returns

Worked example

£1 a line: A at evs (won), B at 6/4 (won), C at 2/1 (won). Total stake £1.00.

Not included: rule 4 deductions, dead heats, each way extra places and bookmaker bonuses (for example double odds on a single winner). Your bookmaker's settlement is final.

Questions

How do you calculate a treble?

Multiply the three decimal odds and the stake. £5 at 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 returns 5 × 2 × 2.5 × 3 = £75.

What if one selection in my treble is a non-runner?

It is void and the bet becomes a double on the other two.
